Darkness comes in waves
Night is eveloping me in her cool embrace
Stars blink from afar
As a silver orb shines moonbeams
Down upon my skin
And a gentle breeze billows my gown
In voluminous clouds of silvery gauzy tulle
Fragrant gardenia and jasmine
Evoke memories of your eyes
Your hand upon my cheek
And your sweet lips against mine
On a night very much like this
Rippling water flows nearby
And I know that the time is nigh
The music of wind rustling leaves
Signals your arrival
Cloaked in colours of the forest
We meet in passionate embrace

Gazing up at the silvery orb in a purple sky
I ponder the course of life
O, the complexity of it all!
The pain, the tears,
The sorrows, the fears.
How they do befall us
And threaten to break us.
Then there is the good in life,
The laughter, the smiles,
The joy that travels across the miles
It's the love that makes it all worthwhile
Love is a funny thing
The more we give,
The more we have
The more we love,
So much sweeter do our lives become.

Looking out my window
Gazing up at the half-full moon
Nestled in a grenadine sky
I ponder the vastness
of the cosmos
How many stars
are suns
with planets in orbit?
How many
civilisations
wonder these same things?
If we met
they and humanity
would we co-exist in peace?
or would fear lead to war?
A purple sky
Dotted with stars
Fills me with wonder.
Who is out there?
Orbiting some distant sun
Pondering galaxies
And songs yet to be sung
The stars create a lovely dance
With planets far away
Perhaps our worlds shall meet
Somehow, some way, some day
silver moonbeams
rain down
upon me
as i dance under stars
twinkling, blinking
illuminating from afar.
leaves of copper, gold, and silver
descend from their branches to join me
flitting, floating, falling swirling, twirling, whirling around my outstretched limbs.
remember when you once danced with me?
long before you wanted to be free?
why did you flee so urgently?
bereft broken-hearted
so alone do i remain
dancing here in mist and rain
